Parametric and Procedural Modeling
Nov 05, 02:30 PM - 50 min Synopsis:
3D modeling programs helped to create the video game industry we live in today. But as games and enviroments have become larger and more complex, the modeling tools have not always followed at the same rate. In this talk, I will talk about PixelActive's approach to urban modeling with CityScape. Rather than modeling at a vertex level, CityScape is a parametric modeling application that is also aided by procedural environment generation and Active Adjustment. By creating tools that solve today and tomorrow's needs, you can improve productivity and quality on your projects while reducing costs.
